Went up north this past Thursday late afternoon and got there just about the time it was getting dark. Broke out the snow blower to do around the camp as Bob had already plowed so it was quick. Unpacked the truck and turned up the heat. All was good… Larry came up later that night. Friday got up early and it was about -2 and snowing. Larry had to put his sled back together (again) from his gear box problem so he was not going riding that day. Bob came down and we left @9:00 to go meet up With Dave T and his son and a couple of his friends. We ended up doing 160 miles and stopped up at the Northlander in Canaan for lunch. We return to Kirby by 4:45 and it was a good day of riding.
Larry was still working on his sled and never did finish as he was in need of more parts. Friday night I had to make a few changes to my sled so it was nice to be in the barn with the heat on to work on it. The temperature was dropping fast. Saturday at 6am it was -3 and by 8:30 in was -6.7. To cold for me to ride. I did a few things around the camp and packed up and went home. Buddy as always loved the cold and the snow. As long as the wind is not blowing above 20mph that dog would stay outside till -30 and love it… He’s a snow dog for sure……
Got home around 3pm and finished clearing what snow was left from the last Friday storm. Cheryl and Abby cleared most of it by hand.
